These geopolymers, based on materials such as natural kaolin, waste stream fly ash, reactive slags, waterglass and other materials form, along with Na-, K-, and Ca-compounds, an environmentally friendly, durable, and highly versatile binder system. Due to its silicate glass-like structure and a whole list of outstanding properties, such as high strength and particularly high chemical resistance, the geopolymer is far better suited as a binder compared to simple industrial cements.
